Get Your Child to Cooperate Without Battles or Burnout

These courses show you how to set clear, age-appropriate expectations so your child follows routines with less resistance and your home feels calmer.

The course for ages 4–7 is available now. Versions for ages 8–11 and 12+ are coming soon.

Most families of kids with ADHD fall into a pattern of giving too much while expecting too little. The result? Arguing, inflexibility, and children running the home through their behaviors. In this course, you’ll learn how to gently reset the balance so your child becomes more cooperative, takes responsibility for their actions, and contributes positively to family life.

Real Results in Real Homes

This course gave me tools I could actually use with my highly argumentative and oppositional child. My child started cooperating with our routines, there has been much less emotional dysregulation, and the stress in our home has gone way down.

This course was what we had been looking for for a long time. My partner and I feel confident setting expectations that meet our daughter's developmental needs. Our daughter appreciates the structure and is beginning to see that she's more capable than she realized.

I’ve Been Where You Are

When my son was younger, he was profoundly oppositional. Mornings could take hours, evenings ended in battles, and I felt like my home was being run by his behavior. At the same time, I was working at a school for students with serious behavior challenges, so I was surrounded by inflexible, oppositional behavior all day at work and then again at home. There was no separation, and it was exhausting.

As a single parent, I fell into threatening punishments just to get him to comply. It worked for a while, until it didn’t, and then I had nothing left. I needed a different way forward. That search led me to develop practical tools that helped my son cooperate more, and I later learned these tools were supported by research on improving oppositional and inflexible behaviors.

The tools I teach in these courses are not just what helped in my own home. They have now been used by thousands of families around the world to reduce battles and bring more cooperation into family life.

I am Ryan Wexelblatt, LCSW, a licensed therapist, former school social worker, and a parent who has lived this. I created ADHD Dude to give families the same tools I wish I had when I was in the thick of it: clear, realistic strategies that make daily life calmer and more cooperative.
