The ADHD Parenting Playbook

Kids with ADHD cannot improve their behavior, executive function, or social skills through watching a video. Parents must create the “scaffolding” to help their children build these skills. The webinars are designed for parents to watch at their own pace. You are welcome to show your child the visual strategies in Executive Function Crash Course, however it is not necessary for them to watch the entire webinar.

Webinars are designed for parents of grade school children & teenagers (ages 6-17). Please remember that strategies must be tailored to your child’s age. These webinars are not for kids to watch; they are for parents. Kids cannot improve their lagging skills by watching a video. Parents must create the "scaffolding" for skills to improve. I suggest starting with Scaffolding Better Behavior & Self-Confidence first so you can learn how to help your child improve their cognitive flexibility.

Membership provides access to all webinars and, twice per month, “Office Hours,” where you can ask Ryan questions through a live video chat. You may cancel your membership at any time. Ryan has extensive experience working with families of children diagnosed with high-verbal autism spectrum diagnoses, in addition to previously being a School Clinician at a school that primarily served students with autism and has presented at various regional and national autism conferences. Because autism is such a broad term, it is impossible to say if the strategies taught on the membership site would work for your family. The strategies are designed for children and adolescents with average to above-average cognitive ability and full use of functional language. The strategies are not designed for children or adolescents who have limited language or an intellectual disability. Many families of autistic children use the strategies on the membership site successfully. Please note that in many ways, kids with autism must develop these skills as they are at much greater risk for under-employment and unemployment in adulthood. The earlier you build resiliency, independence, and social executive function skills, the better.

The webinars (Scaffolding Better Behavior, Socially Smarter, and Better Bedtime Scaffolding) are presentations that include audio.
